The Montreux Jazz Festival takes places over 2 weeks each summer. The festival was created in 1967 by Claude Nobs, René Langel, & Géo Voumard, & has since become a landmark event & draws more than 250,000 visitors. Get more information & download the programme of the festival here.
The festival & the hotel
Information: Since 2024, the Festival has moved a little further east due to renovations at the 2m2c. As the format of 2026 remains a mystery, we invite you to follow the Festival news.
The Royal Plaza Montreux & the Villa Toscane are next to the festival entrance so do not hesitate to book your stay and take advantage of our ideal location. From the rooms on the Vernex park side, you will be in the front row to attend the programme of the “Super Bock Stage” (not confirmed in 2025) & “El Mundo”! There will be a lot of atmosphere & a lot of noise! Additionally, please note that we host several private parties within the hotel every day from 3 PM to 10:30 PM, which are as festive as they are unique. In the evening, car access may be slightly disrupted, and significant noise disturbances are to be expected in the hotel, especially in the rooms next to the Festival.
As for parking, it’s essential that you reserve a space if you’re coming by car. Please note that the price for parking during this period is CHF 40 / night / 24 hours for guests staying at the hotel.
